New Initiative From BTRC for Voice Call Rate

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has taken an initiative to redefine the cost of talking on mobile phones. They are tiring to set up new call rate.



Current and suggested price per minute of voice call rate:


Minimum (on-net):
Current price is:      25 paisa
Proposed:               35 paisa

Minimum (off-net)
Current price is:      60 paisa
Proposed:               45 paisa


Max call rate:
Current price is:          2 take

The proposed price is: 1.5 take

However, talking about this proposal to different operators of the customers about how they want call cost. Customers want the lowest call rate on-net 25 paisa and off-net 45 paise. The maximum is 1 taka per mint.
